Accessibility at the University of Jyväskylä
The University of Jyväskylä aims to improve the accessibility of its services and facilities by removing any barriers that may hinder the students and staff from concentrating on their work or study.
Lähde building
Jyväskylä University Library Lähde (building B) is located approximately a 15-minute walk away from the city centre. You can reach the Library from the Jyväskylä Travel Centre by foot or by wheelchair. On the campuses, there are several parking spaces for persons with disabilities.
Accessibility has been taken into consideration well in the Library building. Lifts and specially equipped toilets are available for those persons using a wheelchair. When necessary, please contact the janitors of the building.
The library staff is ready to assist you in using the collections.
Electronic services
You can use electronic services and collections from outside of the university network (see remote use). It is also possible to increase the font size of the internet browser to make reading text easier. The Library web pages conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines W3C/WAI-A.
