The Library does not limit the amount of borrowed books. You can borrow as many books as you want.
Short loans
You can borrow short loans for one day and night or for the weekend.
- You can borrow the book at any time of the day and return it by library closing time on the following workday.
- You cannot renew or make requests for short loans.
- The overdue fine for short loans is €5 per book.
Short loans from the course book collection
You will find the short loan books on the same shelves as the other course books. They are marked with SHORT LOAN stickers on the cover. You can borrow the books at self-service points.
Short loans from other collections
Items from the Reference Collection can be checked out as short loans with certain exceptions. Periodicals, multi-volume works, reference copies of dictionaries and reference books cannot be checked out. You can borrow the books at the service desk.
Depository Collection
Material from the Depository Collection (Fennica) cannot be checked out as home loans. The loan period is 90 days (for JYU staff 180 days).
