The Free Finnish School Meal Celebrates its 70'

Collection exhibition at the Library's 2nd floor lobby

The law on Finnish school meal was issued in 1943. After 5 years period of transition 1948 the Finnish school system was ready to serve each pupil every school day a free, warm lunch.

Our collection exhibition will take you through the development of school meals from the daily porridge to today's versatile, educating luncheon.
