What can you find in JYKDOK?
When you make a search in JYKDOK, the results are grouped into six tabs.
The first tab shows the library's electronic and print materials as well as the dissertations, master's theses and other publications of JYU.
- Read electronic books or journals and use databases with your JYU user credentials (no library card is needed).
- Read more about using electronic materials.
- Do you live elsewhere than in Jyväskylä but want to loan books from us? Please contact your nearest library and make an interlibrary loan request.
- Can't find a book you need? Or would you like to read a book in an electronic format but can find only a print version? Suggest an acquisition.
The international articles tab presents, for example, studies and articles from different fields. Some are readable as full text.
- If you cannot find a full text, you can suggest an acquisition or request an interlibrary loan.
On this tab you'll find articles from Journal.fi, Arto and JYU's publication archive JYX. Some of the articles are readable as electronic versions.
- If you cannot find an electronic version, see if the printed version of the journal is available in our library collections or in the National Repository Library. Return to the JYKDOK start page and search using the journal's name.
On the fourth tab you'll find materials stored in the Library of Open Educational Resources.
The fifth tab shows the materials of the Jyväskylä City Library and the library of JAMK University of Applied Science.
The collections of the National Repository Library in Kuopio include material from a wide range of fields. Through JYKDOK, JYU students and staff can order books and articles from the Repository Library for free. See the ordering instructions.
