Mobile library card

If you are a JYU student or member of staff, you can get the University Library card on your phone. The mobile library card can be activated in MyJYU app. You can download MyJYU in App Store or Play Store.

Creating a library card in MyJYU

  • If you do not have a Jyväskylä University library card, you can create one by clicking Settings > Create new library card in your profile menu. If you can't see the card, click Settings > Refresh data. After this the card can be found in the menu. If refreshing doesn't help, close MyJYU and sign in again.
  • If you already have a Jyväskylä University library card, you can activate the mobile library card by clicking Library card in your profile menu.
  • You can change your library card PIN code in your profile settings.

If you can’t create a mobile card, please check that

  • your personal information is correct in the account service (e.g. Finnish social security number)
  • you use at least the version 2.0.14 of MyJYU (released in April 2022).

The mobile library card can also be used on the self-service loan stations. You should set the screen brightness on your phone to maximum so that the machine will be able to scan the barcode.
