Research Literature

Research literature includes literature acquired in support of study and research. The collection focuses on the university’s research and teaching priorities, as well as publications in which JYU researchers publish.

Information on the collection and location of printed literature, as well as links to e-books, can be found in JYKDOK, with the exception of the oldest printed literature.

Course Books

The textbook collection contains literature that is part of the degree requirements of the University of Jyväskylä.

Depository Collection (Fennica)

Legal deposit copies are received under the Finnish Legal Deposit Act and added to the library’s archive collection. Due to the restrictions on the use of the material, the books are located in the closed premises of the Collection Centre, but you can order them for reading room use if they are not found in other collections in the library.

Electronic legal deposit copies and Finnish literature digitized by the National Library can be used remotely in the library’s Digi archive or with your JYU username and password.
